Turns Out, I’m An Optimist

This is going to be rambling. This is not an apology, this is a forewarning.

There’s a lot of injustice and death out there. Russia/Ukraine. Palestine/Israel. Ferguson, Missouri. Ebola in West Africa. Celebrity suicide. It’s easy to assume whatever drives our worse natures will be our undoing. I certainly hope not. I know peaceful solutions won’t always happen, but I think it’s important to keep trying. To be the Star Thrower. Entropy claims everything, but there’s so much to do before then. There are so many amazing, beautiful, wonderful things to see. The universe is this absolutely overwhelming place, and I exist at what looks like the best time to exist as a human, and in the development of humanity. We’ve never been here before, and that’s exciting because, despite entropy’s best efforts, things are getting better. People are smart, creative, and industrious. Are there still problems? Yep, they are still there. Are there new problems we’ve never had to deal with before? Yes, absolutely. But we’ve beaten global problems before. We’re resilient. We’re tenacious. As long as we’re don’t fall into the traps we’ve set up for ourselves, I think we’re still capable and will absolutely accomplish even greater things. Thanks for reading.
